DotU has some of their best songs, but I have some issues with it.
Dunno, maybe if I listen to it more it might become a 4.

It's a hard 4 for me. Almost a 4.5. They really experiment on that record. Then you got songs like Pretty Noose and Blow Up the Outside World. And Ty Cobb is a side of Soundgarden rarely seen.

The Sabbath influence is most obvious on their first two albums, Kim's riffing sounds almost exactly
like Iommi.

Nero's right about Thayil, his riffs emulate Iommi's hard.

Thayill's influenced by Iommi for sure (and who isn't?) but he's definitely one of the more original riffers out there. Besides, I'm pretty sure Cornell writes about half the riffs.
