In my opinion Nevermind, and specially Smells Like Teen Spirit helped to put the Heavy Metal genre into the underground. I'll never forget the first time I heard Smells Like Teen Spirit....I told my brother "Fuck!! What is this shit?? Harder than metal but more easy listening....Fuck!! Metal is dead bro". Well metal will never really die sure but my favourite genre will never be mainstream again.
