Yeah so this aged really well. I remember hating it in my emo phase, but I’m starting to really love it now

Of Moons, Birds & Monsters is the best thing here and best thing the band has ever done. It’s funny the last half of this album gets flack, but that song is the last half and it rules. It’s like a lot of people stop listening after the first half but there are plenty of treats here. They’re smarter than they’re led to be. They do have mass appeal with this album with singles but they really have a lot more here than led to believe. To me this is a “came here for the singles; stayed for the rest of it” album. So underrated it hurts.
To me this album is like Hurry Up We’re Dreaming. There’s a lot of musical splendor here, but everyone wants an album full of “Midnight City”. There’s a lot of diversity here. Kinda flirts with a lot of genres here. Just needs the attention span and open mindset. Very easy 9/10 here and so is Congratulations, which is also criminally underrated. Self titled was kinda underwhelming but Little Dark Age seems like it will also rule so far with incredible singles

So I was at a stoplight with my windows down playing Kids by and there was this girl driving a jeep that had also pulled up at the light with the windows down. She started jamming to the song even doing the handclaps lol made my day

The singles here are obviously incredible and generation defining for many, but the album as a whole absolutely rules, and there's not a bad track. Congratulations is still stronger on the whole though.

Congratulations is their best album start to end, in terms of consistency, agreed.

If I can accomplish something in life 1% as great as the instrumental to Kids, I'll consider this life more than a success.

Was super obsessing over Weekend Wars recently, so I decided to give the entire album a shot and:
The 3 singles are worse than I remembered, but not bad
Pieces of What was pretty cool
The other 5 songs are as boring as psych gets
