Yeah, i would rate it about 3.5, because the second half does make up for it, plus that the traits you just mentioned. But i still think Mirrors is a solid 4/4.5

That statement is wrong for two reasons.
Anyway, the band themselves said they were influenced by Meshuggah. A lot of chugging, with somewhat odd time signatures was in the beginning.
