oh fucking metalcore. i can't stand this bullshittery. it's so fucking funny how 14 year olds that stole their parents money to get a crap guitar just to rape that fucking low string think they're cool and their listeners too. whoever enjoys listening to this absolute talentless garbage should be killed instantly. fucking disgrace of metal, black sheep of music. Why do you even call these clusterfucks of one note with pop choruses music? Go listen to some real metal like metallica, megadeth, lamb of god, burzum, behemoth and slipknot. Why does metalcore even have metal in the name? Such a disgrace for real metal artists that don't need to fuck their low string to make a song. And let's not even talk about the metalcore singing. Fucking idiots how dare you sing. REAL metal singers have a powerful voice, they got balls and beards instead of your dumb "scene" wigs that look like a bird nest and all metalcore singing sounds like a crying little girl. No exceptions, ALL CORE SOUNDS THE SAME.

Liked this for a while but ultimately think Cannibal Corpse is better. Butchered, Tomb, and Bloodthirst are just too good to me

I don't think As I Lay Dying are a Christian band...
I have the first 2 tracks from this album. The first i thought was meh...it didn't really stand out too much. The second one was the same, but was saved by the chorus...that chorus is unbelievably catchy .

I recognize I'm not objective on this one cause this is one of the reasons I got into metal. This album and An Ocean Between Us are metalcore cornerstones imho. The guitar work is awesome, sure they got those hated breakdowns aswell so I guess haters gonna hate. And I normally don't like metalcore but...
