this has more heavier parts than SATH that's a fact, no one can't deny that riff is actually right on this part: "this is more sludge and sath is more post-rock and pretty tremz"

the guy never mentioned the Beyond! someone else brought that up, I don't even know if he's heard it or not.
he also mentioned that SATH was too slow, so I was talking about that originally as well. I'm not saying the beyond is the heaviest pm album out there and I'm not saying that someone has to like sath to like pm. my comment has been dissected further than necessary here.

SATH seems more aggressive and loud to me overall. maybe I should have said that instead of heavy, I correct myself.

"I'm not saying that someone has to like sath to like pm"
"dude if you think SATH needs to be faster and heavier, then you probably shouldn't be listening to post metal...js"
you pretty much did. and the beyond is like the 2nd-3rd heaviest out there in the genre by far.

once again, I'm not making any claims as to where the beyond ranks in the pm halls of heaviness.
'they don't "have to" like SATH'
and this is what you said. here you're refuting an argument that I did not make. I was saying that speed and heaviness are not the most important aspects of pm. in my opinion at least. my comment wasn't meant to be taken as seriously as you're taking it here.

you might need to bathe in some perrier. I'm making that claim alone. I said that about SATH because you go as if people who want heavier shit instead of twinklesprinkle post-rock/metal shouldn't be listening to post metal. and why make stupid comments if you know someone like me will tear you to shreds you should know by now.
|
| |
didn't mean to start an argument. and by faster i didn't mean speed metal or whatever, maybe i should have said "slightly less slow". SATH is the only album by this band that i've heard. i did like it. singer's voice is amazing, imo better than the vocalists of those similar bands. maybe that's why i wish there were more heavy sections. in terms of overall quality of sound, SATH is amazing, it's just takes a while to get into it because it's so slow and considered.

lol like I said you took me too seriously there. if you think I'm literally telling this dude to never listen to post metal then you're wrong. I told you what I meant by it.
also ftr I don't really consider you straw-man-ing more than half of your arguments against me to be getting torn apart, but whatever
