I haven’t been on this site frequently in years, what did he do

I was told that he asked to get banned so he could wean himself off the site.

Really? I heard he was unfairly banned over something.

I mean he allegedly told Sweeney something different from what he told me, but my best guess is I'm much closer to him on a friends level than Sweeney was so he was willing to be more honest with me, idk.

Of course he also commented that "leaving Sputnik was the best decision I ever made" as well, which considering the level of flak he got... yeah I'd say that's true.

That's why I want to eventually slow up too, I've noticed a similar effect on my own mentality. Fuck Drifter's "you don't have any presence if you don't have 10k+ comments" quip from months back as well.

Roughly a year ago, but I didn't really start getting active beyond rating stuff until around November or so.

I usually go on Month long hiatuses from this site twice a year. It certainly helps.

That might be something worth looking into. Of course, after the hiatus is over, I'll have to do a mass wave of ratings for all the new albums I jam, but yeah.
