I like this best, for some reason it really struck a chord with me that nothing else they've done has.

black dahlia are melodic death metal, and always have been, don't get confused on their genre because of who they have toured with in the past.

I love this band. Their music is bad ass, but at the same time its fun, and doesn't get self indulgent, and melodramatic.

What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse is such a good song.

haven't heard the album. i love the guitar in that song, and the end screams are really good.

I really really like this album. I feel that theres always room to improve but these guys have songs that are actually distinguishable, which is rare in this genre (cough job for a cowboy)....Trevor's vox are just insane IMO, his high screams sound much better this time out as well. Fuck i think from the way i described this album ima bump up the score .5!

It's up there, most definitely. There are definitely some other ones that I could make a case for, though. "Everything Went Black" and "Virally Yours" (grossly underrated song, imo) off Nocturnal, "Funeral Thirst" and "Elder Misanthropy" off Unhallowed or "A Vulgar Picture" or the title-track off Miasma.

No doubt. Everyone rags on them for their solos, but in reality they flow with the songs PERFECTLY. He's not a shredder by any stretch of the imagination, but his solos fit so beautifully within the songs.
That being said, now that they have Ryan Knight as their lead guitarist, I'm hoping for some shredding lol.
