when i say folky, i'm referring to traditional irish/english/scottish folk. i guess i could've been more specific.

Neurosis has tribal stuff in basically every album after Word as Law, the most tribal they ever got was on Cleanse

After listening to the title track, it's pretty clear to me where Thrice got their post-metal influences from.

Thrice definitely has a slight post-metal influence. The guitarist has a blog somewhere that I've seen him talk about Neurosis and others even though the influence is probably more so from Isis.

Great band!Probably my favorite band by far (Yeah I'll go that far) beside ISIS.Really great sounding album that takes you on a musical trip especially the song "Stones From the Sky" probably my favorite.I don't like to choose favorite songs of theirs but that one I connect the most with.

Neurosis are so much better than Isis it's not even funny.
