Day of Justice is such a metalcore cliche song. The At the Gates ripoff riffs, leads and harmonies and the generic breakdown. The other ones I listened to were the same, but they didn't have harmonies, they just had a lead part and a breakdown that took up half the song.

hence being a death metal band with breakdowns.

I guess As I Lay Dying and It Dies Today are death metal now, too.

Theyre the same thing as ASP except ASP has blastbeats and growls. That doesn't make them death metal. Sure, there's death metal elements, but there really is no such thing as something only having elements of one genre. This Message Edited On 07.29.07

ASP are death metal with metalcore elements white AILD and IDT are crappy and 10 times more unoriginal then ASP.

All Shall Perish is death metal? I don't know what kind of death metal you guys are listening to, but you might want to find something authentic.

I never said authentic. Not like I'd take you're word for anything anyways.

I don't see why this band is getting so much attention. Fueling this thread in any way hurts the music industry.

I wasn't talking to you specifically. Don't be so touchy.

You really havn't been around much recently have you? I'm a harmless asshole so don't be offended by anything I say.

You guys are both cool anyway, so....
btw Shads, where you been?

I must say I'm flattered you guys even noticed I was gone, heheh. I've been bust as hell lately. I'll be starting college in a couple weeks as a music major so I've been working as much as possible. Plus I bought an Xbox 360 in March so I've recovered my intense love of video games in my leisure time. On top of it, I've been practicing some rather brutal guitar to make sure I can stand up to those jazz guys. Altogether, I've had little to no time to spent on this forum. I love(d) writing reviews and being part of the literary music community, but conversely this review site has given me an incredible amount of stress as far as the conflict is concerned. It's good to be back but I quickly realized why I left. :p
@Cravinov: It's alright, I'm sure you noticed I'm the same way around here. I never mean any harm, but since this is the internet, I can be rather blunt about my opinions.
BTW: I'm quite drunk right now. I've had 10 beers and have been listening to the brand new CoB song, but what I've said here is still entirely valid! This Message Edited On 07.30.07

glad to have you back shadows :D

Did I ever meet you before my massive hiatus? I don't remember you! I'm appalled by your rating of the new Behemoth album, but petty differences should never get in the way of metal brethren. Glad to (re)make your acquaintance. :DThis Message Edited On 07.30.07

Shads, can we look foreward to one last review? A "good-bye" review, if you will?
