"Neverender's Well 4 is easily their defining moment."
Hadn't seen this before. Those fucking theremins. Wow.

I mean all of the Willing Wells are amazing in their own right, but goddamn those just kill it so hard. Just structurally how II and III are pieced together out of all these different parts blows me away. The final cut is awesome but its just a long jam really.
Although I have to say capping the night at the Gorge with an extended Final Cut was life-changing.
edit: listening again I think Willing Well I "Why would you deny me answers?" has got to be the most powerful moment on this album. Think I had III confused with one, I'm on board now Johnny.

the guitar solo into "watching his tale with the words he unfolds" on willing well 1 is the best stretch of the album

Yeah, the way I takes the first half and the second half and ties them together is extraordinary. That bit is such a joy.

Man Welcome Home was such as huge single back in the day. Totally forgot about it until today

I just wish the ending of Welcome Home was a little shorter. A lot of bands are guilty of stretching out "whoa-oh" or "Nah nah nah" parts of songs, IMO.

It really didn't bother me the first several hundred times I listened to it. Welcome Home is not a track I've listened to in a very long time though cuz it's played out (but still a great track).

To be fair, seeing the band live, that part is absolutely amazing.
