Wish and Animals are musically superior but not as coherent or artistic as Dark Side imo


Honestly I think all of the big 3 are pretty much equal in terms of cohesiveness, they're all brilliantly structured and flow almost perfectly.

agreed ^ although Animals...the bulk of it is great but never rated Pigs On The Wing as the bookends. minor complaint since they're so brief but they do next to nothing for me. they feel tacked on, whereas Shine On and Speak To Me/Eclipse are right at home

The two Pigs on the Wing songs are essential to the cohesiveness of Animals. I would honestly like Animals slightly less if they weren't there as the album would feel more like 3 separate (albeit strongly related) pieces as opposed to a cohesive whole. It actually amazes me how effective the PotW parts are.
