I know I might catch shit for number 1 but goddamn I love that chorus, the tapping riff, Greg’s soaring vocals and really some of his best lyrics, I love the soft bridge too, the whole song just feels different imo, which I can’t really say about a ton of Better Lovers tracks. Really feels *distinctly* Better Lovers and not just something they would’ve written with Keith.

Lie Between The Lines also feels like something that wouldn’t be an ETID song, I wonder if it’s just written to be more suited for Greg, or if Will just had that much influence in the writing. Only thing I’m not totally in love with is the repeated “I CANT BELIEVE IM JUST LIKE YOU”… feels like a little much. The band always had repeated chants like that but god Greg, I fuckin get it man. Yells that shit probably 5 times, going more and more overboard with each delivery, and it’s just not a good enough line for me to overlook it. Same with the “I can’t believe this is all we were made for.” In the outro.



Do one or the other, repeating both like that just makes the song feel repetitive to me, so basically the whole outro. Glad it’s over some killer riffs at least.

Yeah I know I said DD, but I agree, Roman takes the cake by a hair. DD just behind. Romeo or maybe No Son of Mine would be my third pick. Fear and Trembling or Bimbos next.
