This is better than Watershed. Watershed is a mess tbh. I can't remember the last time I jammed that all the way through.

The three epics on WS blow anything on here out of the water and Coil and Burden are more personal and beautiful than anything on here, Watershed is way better

Yea I don't care if this doesn't have growling. I really hate the no growls critisicm thing it's stupid. Bands change.

I mean I love all the tracks apart from Porcelain Heart (even though it was one of my first Opeth tracks) and The Lotus Eater, but somehow I find Watershed incohesive.

No less incohesive than this

This is much more cohesive and more consistent. And much better overall.

lol as if I give a shit about growling. Personally, and like most Opeth fans, I just prefer their unique style of progressive
metal
Yeah I was joking about a particular bunch of Opeth fans. I almost said because it's metal which would possibly apply to more
people.

^ this though

Yeah people seem to want more of the same from them. Something I can't understand when they've already done so much of
that style. Pale Communion seems to be getting a better reception though, even though I think it's a slight step down from
this. I can see why it might appeal more to some Opeth fans though.

I only jammed it a few times. Figured I'd just wait until the release. That, and I'm too scared to torrent on this new computer.

Yeah I haven't given it enough listens to make a proper verdict yet either. Just because I don't like it as much as this yet doesn't necessarily mean I won't. But it's quite a way off this atm so I'm not sure.
