There are direct links between nwobhm and early US thrash and speed/power metal.

See e.g. Diamond Head and Metallica. Slayer's Show No Mercy is entirely comparable to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, same goes for Agent Steel. Etc. etc.

"Metallica should then release an album with Miley Cyrus covers to return the favor."

Agreed, and Thrashin' In the USA should be the first single

Tried googling them and Bullet From My Valentine and Bring Me the Horizon are far and away the "biggest" bands to come out of britain/uk since the 80s. The former sucks aside from one album the latter can hardly be considered a metal band anymore.

Rolo Tomassi and Tesseract are good, Sikth and Carcass is prob up my alley but I've never checked them, not all that into Architects... like idk what I'm missing it's basically dead post-nwobhm aside from a few exceptions?
