Or maybe it could be a 4.5: also frightened is a beautiful piece of production but not too much of a song, except for the title chorus; guys eyes moreso; maybe no more runnin functions too obviously as a flow stopper before the big finish, which I’ve always had a tiiiiny bit of ambivalence toward as well (it’s a great song, but whatever). But the rest of this album is perfect and beautiful, and I absolutely love the production and sampling on this album because it feels so jubilant and freewheeling and the whole thing bursts with creativity to me

Deakin is one to keep fans waiting unfortunately.
This used to be a 5 for me, until I realised it had too many flaws for a perfect rating. Bluish and Brother Sport were never that great, and Also Frightened is more an example of fantastic production than songwriting, as robertsona said. Still, this is one of the lushest-sounding albums I've ever heard
