What an exhausting listen, slight improvement over Judah and a lot of great moments. All the songs have incredible endings and I really like the drumwork. Really don't see why it's so controversial among metal fans, there's plenty of bombast and blasting for them and plenty of atmospheric melody and shoegazing/post-rock stuff to please others. I'm a fan of it all and this record really has no faults, but upon first impressions it's not quite the masterwork everyone's praising it to be. 4.25/5
