not as dynamic? i mean this album was mostly a chore to sit through for that reason alone - so many generic guitar riffs and uninspired choruses/song designs in general. i've heard the new one is much more akin to snw and based on the songs i've heard i don't have much reason to doubt that. if it has more atmosphere than this then i'll be stoked

The new album is so average to me, I hope it grows but I have serious doubts on it. I mean i'm not the biggest fan of this album either but at least this has immediate standout tracks like Leathers, and Rosemary.

Hearts/Wires single release and the version on the leak barely even sound any different. Gyro is either extremely sensitive to 180 kbps files (which aren't even that bad generally), or we do have different copies. Headphones also makes a difference.
