Jane Doe, Axe to Fall and even You Fail Me are all better than Romans imo

trivium is better

I think what rules about YFM is how well it played up the emotional aspect of their sound. Axe to Fall did the same thing with the thrashier side of their sound, and considering our individual tastes in music in general, it makes sense I would prefer YFM and you ATF.

Stick to prog because you fail at metalcore

YFM and WFCC are awesome because they are Converge's most depressing works.
And also my favorites.
|
| |
Yeah YFM, WFCC, and this are my favorite Converge albums but I think if I devoted more time to Botch they'd be up there as well

As far as aesthetic and atmosphere, this is not even close to as depressing as YFM
|
| |
Wretched World is their most "depressing" song, and they barely wrote it

Yep, I love Botch and WATR just because I'm a crowd follower. Has nothing to do with being one of the
best metalcore bands/albums of all time.
Also, In Her Shadow is definitely the most depressing one.

atmospherically, I might have to side with you on that. YFM is easily their most dense and sludgy work. But I prefer both Jane Doe and Axe to Fall

Thred kneedz moar bluesicians, amirite?

YFM has the feeling of sadness you would feel for a friend who's doing heroin or something, this has that guttural self-pitying depressed atmosphere that makes you feel it yourself. This is better. But barely.
