idk, I am kinda overly plugged into celebrity news and culture and Selfish just seems like such a cowardly retreat and an open admittance to abandoning any sort of ambition with his career.



He's just doin the aging boy band singer thing and singing nonsense. Not that Man of the Woods was good....or even really cogent..... but the one thing that I'll give it is that he at least was trying. Oh boy, was he trying. Very very very hard.

I’ve heard two other songs off the album and they seem to have more energy, I think he’s just trying to do a thing with the lead single, probably an ill advised thing if he wants a hit, but still a thing

I’m a little wary of sanctified after hearing the live version, it seems to have that Super Bowl Backing Band arena rock style that I think clashes so hard with pop song writing
