takes a bottom feeder to rate this 1 / 1.5 to begin with, let alone to lurk around and talk shit. not trying to start a flame war here, but colton and nolerthebowler are about the lowest of the low here. and i mean worse than butcheredchildren, rosaparks, maniac, hawks bad
what is this from

I just don’t agree with Kendrick’s worldview as much as I used to.

Alright so uh
I know I'm not supposed to have this opinion
But after revisiting Kendricks discog multiple times over this past week (because of the Drake feud, I was interested in revisiting) I uh gotta say
I enjoy this SIGNIFICANTLY more than To Pimp a Butterfly.
Didn't realize I had this opinion until this week but almost every song here is a straight fucking banger that gets stuck in my head while I'm jamming other music, I can really only say that about a few songs for Butterfly (Alright, King Kunta, etc) and I end up wanting to skip a bunch of them

I did a Kenny run too for the first time in half a decade and had this exact conversation with one of my mates. TPAB is great but it’s a hard listen at points — this and GKMC are significantly more ~enjoyable~ to listen to (not necessarily “better” mind)

TPAB almost feels like Grammy Bait 🤭

TPAB is an art piece and is really striving to say something, this is essentially a collection of singles with a loose concept behind it. It’s two completely different styles of albums

All the best albums are a collection of singles with a loose concept behind them. See: Bergtatt, The Victim as Beauty, Le Nozze de Figaro

Yeah, my controversial Kenny take is that DAMN is my favorite album of his but pretty much everything else kinda operates as strong contenders for number two. I can't deny any of the albums, I just happen to like this one best

About half of these songs are bangers and the other half is mid, so 3.5 it is. Still listen to this more frequently than TPAB as it is much more digestible

I'm ready to call this his best album fuck all that other shit, this is just way more fun to listen to than anything else he's made and still has tons of substance.

This is great but gkmc shits on this. Plenty of bangers on that one it's a fun album to but it also has better storytelling and more substance. And None of the poppy hooks
