I love how they have songs for certain moods, songs that you go to just for the grooves (Spasm, DNLD, Demiurge, Break Those Bones..), epicness (Dancers, Behind The Sun, Dehumanization, Electric Red) or just pure rawness (Bleed, Concatenation, New Millenium, Corridor, The Hurt)

"dnld sounds like them on autopilot"
That's kinda how I feel about demiurge. Its probably the least technical song on the album aside from maybe demon. Dnld is pretty straightforward too but that melodic section in the 2nd half is one of my highlights of the album

"Demiurge is probably the weakest"

I've always wondered why that song is so popular. It's one of meshuggah's simplest songs and the grooves aren't very interesting

Demiurge was a grower to me not gonna lie, but it's super simple yet grooves hard

Opener is the weakest here
Marrow/Swarm/Demiurge and DNLD are my favorites

Demiurge is catchy yet still packs a punch, and experiencing it live is always always always a highlight of the set for me. It's been climbing up the ranks of Meshuggah faves, love it.
But I love everything here. Very nice album.

Demiurge is just huge, probably the 'heaviest' song I've ever heard in that in just completely pummels you into submission with the bassiness and groove. It's repetitiveness and simplicity is what makes it work, I can't get enough of it.
It's probs the song that rly got me in shuggah thinking bout it.

It's up there for me too actually. Nothing will always be no 1 though.
Hard agree Ben. It's simplicity and repetition make it so addictive yesssss.
