still comfortably my favorite national even as i become old and boring

final stretch on this is still sublime but always forget how enjoyable i find even the less immediately arresting songs (friend of mine, looking for astronauts, etc.)

killer album but i feel like there's still one or two tracks here i don't care too much about which keeps this comfortably below high violet as far as favourite national albums go for me

I'll always love HV more as 1) it is perfect and 2) it was my intro to the band but this album is also amazing. Has a unique vibe and atmosphere to the rest of the discography as well

Classic as ever, I hope?

Feel like I need to revisit this one as I’m now just about at the life stage it generally presents.

Oh of course, this was my favorite album ever at one point and it's still likely top 5

Finally saw these guys live yesterday. What an incredible show and a dream come to true to experience them in my city's finest concert hall. It was an incredible preformance with a 4 song encore, and yeah, Mr. November was in there.

I can die happy now

The fact that Val Jester is almost universally considered the worst song on this is a war crime

I pull off your jeans, and you spill jack and coke in my collar
I melt like a witch and scream
