"i'm repeatedly turning on and off a box fan partially submerged in water (abandoned pool overgrown with weeds, dirty water only left in the deep end duh) with a mortally wounded, but definitely still alive raccoon (whose obvi been slightly tranquilized, but only lightly) swimming around in that same water.

i'm recording everything with a microphone from the '60s wrapped in bubblewrap barely sticking out of a rusted hole in the trunk of a '73 Ford Pinto, while it slowly idles by with static from the radio also going on

new GY!BE done."

go for it dude sounds like a solid 4.5/5

Caracalla was an actual black emperor of Rome. His Bandcamp isn't very good though.

song isnt really a song. seems pointless in isolation, but might be good as a tone-setter for a more epic album.

pffff fine w/e. As an intro it works, I suppose. At least they're (presumably) doing something more interesting with structuring this time. Track could transition well into the next, so it could work. As-is it's still kinda weird tho.

Agreed, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt

Hopefully this time we won't have to deal with half of the album being pointless nonsense

the drones were mostly good but not how they were typically placed within the records and how long they ran on already shorter albums. A full Godspeed drone album could be fun tho, since I love me some noisy ambient nonsense.

I don't like drone music, but agreed on the length topic

If they are shorter, they can definitely work pretty well as a build up for something more interesting

that sounds good

not great for me, but still a cool listen

I'd say it is closer to ambient though?, not sure. Not even close to being an expert in these genres
