I think there's lots of themes in TFC that people can relate to. I mean who can't relate to the fear of nuclear war (Two Suns in the Sunset).

Also in contrast to what SirLord said, it's the sincerity of the emotion that does it for me.

I think the thing with the feelings in TFC for me is that while in The Wall you could easily tell that Waters was feeling what he was singing, in TFC it seems for me that he just picked themes that people could relate to and sung them, I don't think that he "feels the feelings that he sings" in TFC, I know is subjective as fuck to tell if a muscician is really feeling his music, and I know my theory sounds weird as fuck sorry haha, just couldn't find another way to explain it

@Jamie: That's why I prefer Rumours over Peter Green's work with Fleetwood Mac. I love the super personal and emotive
nature of it

Danny if we didn't "bicker" over albums there would be no discussion at all in this thread so some is better than none
Also JT is spot on about TFC

I know that Row, I'm just rationalizing.

I guess I kinda like to play the role of balancing out discussions to some extent. I like to see the middle ground on things sometimes.

Title track is probably the most overplayed song ever. And I still love it every time I hear it.

SOYCD Pts. 1-5 is my #1 Floyd song, and possibly my #1 song by any artist. The whole thing is amazing, but the guitar at around 3:52 (the 'four notes') is one of the best moments EVER in music.
