Money is good but the rest of the album after it is better, Time too

Money is awesome. Second half wouldn't be the same without it.

Money is somewhere in the middle but there is no way that On The Run, Any Colour You Like, or Speak With Me/Breathe are better than it.

On The Run isn't good yea, but the rest of those are great songs.

I think Money might have been the first song to sample random sounds to make them into beats the way it does. It was industrial before industrial! If there are any songs that predate it, then idk.

Of course On The Run isn't better than Money, I said the second half and Time were better.

@Talans I was talking about how people earlier said that it's the worst on the album

Oh gotcha. Personally I think Speak To Me, On The Run, Gig, and Any Color are the inferior tracks.

Gig is one of my faves and easily my fave on the first half.

"Speak To Me, On The Run, Gig, and Any Color are the inferior tracks"
speak, on the run, and any colour are so important to the album in terms of building and releasing tension. and great gig is just flat out one of the best on here. money sort of plods and does nothing to further the dynamic feel of the album... it sorta zaps the album out of its ethereal momentum. though admittedly it fits into the concept perfectly and the satire of writing a radio single to represent the pressures of greed and corruption is brilliant enough for me to look past it (though they topped that satirical style with Have a Cigar)
just my reasoning behind calling money the weakest link

Time is probably my favorite on here, some of my favorite lyrics of all time

In an album that contemplates life, death and the frustrations in between that infuriate and madden, Money does a spot on job in tying it all in.

@TheSpaceMan: I have this 5'd so I wouldn't call them bad songs by any means, and I definitely agree about that Money
comment about how it interrupts the ethereal momentum

I agree with the guy who equated Money with Have a Cigar, it's meant to be overly satirical. Really fun bass line too.
