Agree with songwriting, but yeah DB is my 5# too

Division Bell is like bottom 4 for me.
And then, well, The Wall and TFC happened.
TFC fucking rules so I'm glad that happened.

Also Meddle really isn't that flawed at all. It has one (weak) song that disrupts the flow of the album (San Tropez) and that's it. Seamus serves its purpose and the rest is amazing and some of the best music Floyd ever created.

@JT: well Seamus and San Tropez are easily the least strong songs on Meddle, so it's a matter of perception which way the cake is cut. Atm I'd switch what you said about Seamus and San Tropez and then agree, but maybe I need to listen to it more.

THROWING A BRICK AT A STICK IN THE SAND RAWWWWWWWWWWRRRRRR

The Final Cut is way better than The Division Bell imo, and this is coming from someone who is more of a Gilmour fan than a Waters fan.

I donno man Final Cut doesn't do much for me, it's old and tired

I think the thing with Final Cut is that it's so powerful and emotionally specific (father/son stuff) that it's quite hit or miss for a lot of people.

TFC sounds too forced, I think that's the way to describe it
|
| |
I can't see how an album as emotionally intense as TFC can seem tired but to each their own.

Yeah, fans can never agree on whether TFC or The Wall is better. One thing that we can agree on though, is that Waters's influence became almost exclusively dominant on those albums. The effect of that is the debatable matter.

I love emotion and TFC is emotional as hell but that emotion feels forced to me, I can't really explain why tbh
