After excellent Kid A and especially Amnesiac and somewhat failed but at least ambitious HttT In Rainbows is a return to easy listening overproduced poppy muzak but critics got all crazy about it because it's Radiohead. Unfortunately

2 + 2 = 5, Sit Down. Stand Up, Scatterbrain and A Wolf at the Door are some nice bookends if you ask me. Goods in the middle too.

I agree with easier listening than the previous. Overproduced though? Not true.

But looking at your ratings, I can see you love to hate so I'm not even going to try to explain. I mean you gave Airbag/How Am I Driving a 2 so...

lol all you want doesn't change the facts. "Scatterbrain" does have its merits but "2+2=5" sounds interesting only until you realize that it's just cliched "quiet track goes LOUD ROCK".

It's everything okay with me. It's you all you don't understand the rating system, it seems. You see, 3.0 is supposed to be GOOD record. And good means just good man, it's a real pleasure to listen to. 3.5 is a GREAT record. I think every music lover should listen to these someday. 4.0 and higher are specially special: excellent, superb and classics. So my average may be 2.86 but it doesn't mean I hate music. In fact if you did the math almost half of the records I rated I consider GOOD and I don't know, 1/3 is just GREAT. So I don't think anything's wrong with me.

You don't have to defend your ratings dude, but the longer you indulge them, the more dickish you're going to come across.

I think it's wrong when people hear a record which they think is nice to listen to, has some good songs, some bad etc. They often say it's "another fine record from " and they give it a 4/5, which is hilarious. "Another fine record" means good at best. You shouldn't rate it as high.

yeah i know. Sorry for that. On the other hand I only said something about the record and American... attacked me personally which wasn't really nice.
