It is music, it is a matter of taste although later you try to verbalize why you like it, there is a very simple previous process: you listen to it and you like it, or not.

"diversity does not automatically make it good" Sure, I was just messing with Demon, unfortunately he's the missing piece here...

'diversity does not automatically make it good'

Of course it doesn't, but that was in defence of CoL, a record labelled 'monotonous' by one user. It's diverse enough not be tagged with that descriptor, imo. All about context. They're not exactly a band that has a reputation for going off on absurd, ill-fitting tangents. Now, if I said 'diversity is a good thing' in defending a mess of an eclectic spazz-prog-core album, then fair enough.

You ll never get it, because you don't want to. Just saying that all ppl who digs this one, say it requires patience (and guards down) something that you are absolutely willing, whenever a new CoL is out (Brilliant album btw). CoL is a boring and tiring band in its essence...that's cool for me. But you can agree its really tough to discog run those dudes f.e.

I'm not saying CoL is a boring band. IMO their albums are too long and I will cut 3-4 tracks each album, except for Mariner. But it's only my opinion.

I prefer aenima and 10k days over lateralus too. Am I saying Lateralus is shit in some way? No.

My comments have mainly been trolling, yes, but I stand by my score. Heard the album three times now, not listening to it again.
