Waar is Berend Botje gebleven?
De weg was recht
De weg was krom
Nooit kwam Berend Botje meer om

Take me lightly my friend, it's all in good fun ;)

I've done this front to back several times of course, and I like it, a lot, but far from the likes of Aenima or Lateralus.

Start on the last track, end up on first. Anger-Conflict-Resolution-Enlightenment like any other Tool album loool I'm not entirely bought on it yet, since I haven t finished in that form, but it makes some kind of sense.

I don't think about albums comparing them. If so, I would not have heard Lateralus ever, I would have repeated aenima forever.

I only know that since it came out I listen to it whole at least once a day and even the "worst" tracks are huge. No skip.

I would love to dig CoL (or Isis or Neurosis) but i can only enjoy single songs. I prefer more dynamic albums, the ocean and shels are the best postmetal acts for me.

The new CoL is dynamic af...I love calm western vibe sections...give it another shot. But I get what you meant about CoL in general, I love them tho.

"Back to this and I'm not sure how anyone can call it monotonous, it's a diverse record that traverses a ton of ground, perhaps it covers said ground too slowly (because you lack patience), but if you're wanting immediate hooks, or lack the attention span to get sucked into the atmosphere then I guess this isn't for you, your loss."
