also i agree (except i think TOCS is like a 3-3.5 max), all of those 4 records are great in their own way

This and Disambiguation are clearly their best records, I would give the edge to Disambiguation probably because the drumming is noticeably better.
Nah LITSOS and DTGL are their best. I would also possibly rank TOCS ahead of Disambig but it’s pretty close. Both solid albums.

This thread as well of most of the other Underoath threads epitomize revolving door conversation.

This, LITSOS, and Disambiguation is one of the most insane three run stretches I can think of
band was untouchable

agreed, plus they were their three best too (imo)
also @Jay, i think a lot of people only like it as a nostalgia album, because of the sound they took with that record was very much a product of its time, unlike their later, more mature records that feel much more timeless than TOCS

This, LITSOS, and Disambiguation is one of the most insane three run stretches I can think of
Great run, but a few other comparable ones come to mind:
The National — Alligator, Boxer, High Violet, Trouble Will Find Me
Tool — Undertow, Aenima, Lateralus, 10k Days (I know some didn’t love Days but I think it’s a masterpiece)

obviously there are other incredible three run stretches (and more), I was just highlighting UO's because, well, this is an UO thread

jeff rosenstock's whole career is basically one giant run stretch, same with Touche Amore, Earl Sweatshirt, Laura Stevenson, and Denzel Curry just to name a few

mewithoutYou - Catch for Us the Foxes, Brother Sister, It's All Crazy is an incredible stretch, though you could pretty much pick any three of their albums and say the same. I'm just Sputnik's most ardent It's All Crazy fan
also y'all once again are sleeping on LITSOS, which is this band's best album. It's everything Define the Great Line wants be except with better songwriting and more dynamic range. TOCS is also still a great album even if the songwriting feels pretty dated nowadays

i'm glad someone else realizes how much LITSOS is slept on
also this isn't a jeff rosenstock thread, but POST— is his best and most ambitious record yet don't @ me 😤

@ian and pretty much everyone else
You guys are gonna tell me with a straight face that Reinventing Their Exit and It's Dangerous Business haven't aged well? Heavy agree though about the trio of Define, Lost, and O with a slash through it being a hell of a stretch. Might even be the best in metalcore next to Malice, Mirrors, and Controller.
