Yeah this one was probably the biggest grower in their catalog for me. Just grown to appreciate it so much in the last 6 yrs

"Immutable is so good but is probably their weakest album since CC."
"Yeah it's great but also my least fave since cc"
I thought i was the only one with this sentiment

Doing a full discog run is making me question my enjoyment of their albums and my ultimate ranking and preference for them.
I'm getting the feeling I need to be in the right frame of mind for Meshuggah. Outside of that zone their music can leave me a little cold, but in that mindset it scratches an itch that very little else can. Some albums may have been slightly unfairly bumped or negd because of this.
Right now this album is fucking me sideways and I love it.

Into Decay is so good.
Shuffling through all Mesuggah today, they've been so crazily consistent throughout all their 30+ years of being a band.

"Into Decay is so good."
Easily one of the highlights here

Truth. Had to bump this up again. It's between a 4.0 and a 4.5 for me, Unratable (🤭).

Haha yeah I can! And I get that too. To me it's frustratingly not a 4.0 and not a 4.5.

I have big mixed feelings for everything after Kolossus. I don´t see how this or the new one offer anything new and at this stage just play on the same ´shuggah tropes, and the songs became even more convoluted and less melodical. idk. Last one, I forced myself to finish it but couldn´t sit and listen to it at all. Seeing some Thomas Haake playthroughs, yeah maybe, but yeah.
Maybe I am not anymore that much in love with this style

Somewhere in the middle, yeh, i feel that, in my case is around 3.5/4, but i gave it a 4 cuz the highs are very high

"and the songs became even more convoluted and less melodical"
I think Immutable is some of the most melodic stuff they've done in years (ever?). Don't hear this at all.
"but i gave it a 4 cuz the highs are very high"
Same but with everything +0.5 🌞

I will try again but the only melodic thing I remember is that cynic/ gordian knot-like passage halfway the disc. the rest trudged in my brain, I also hate the production honestly

That's a hot take and I haven't even listen to the album.

Not much of a hot take, I've seen lots of users with that opinion, myself included
