That one was pretty boring imo. Title track sucks
|
| |
Love the title track
Best are I'll Still Destroy You, Carin, Born To Beg, and Dark Side imo

t/t is cool enough i just hate when he says "I'll still destroy you someday sleep well beast." And it's a little long for what it does. Not a big fan of the super monotonous voice
|
| |
I wish the delivery of it was a bit more impactful but I get that it's supposed to sound resigned and I love the lyric
|
| |
Shit I forgot Walk It Back, that ending is phenomenal

Turtleneck is embarrassing
|

I'm not a big fan but I enjoy the chorus, don't think it's super awful like I'm seeing others say

should've got into that jam at the end of I'll Still Destroy You sooner, or extended it a little
|

Man those ghostly backing vocals during the chorus of Born To Beg

Aoty and contender for their best. Easily their most adventurous production wise and the songcraft is just as masterful. Second half is especially stunning.

I remember watching the playback from that exclusive Paris gig a few months back and thinking the opener sucked
In fact, it's utterly gorgeous
|
| |
Yeah one of my favorite openers of theirs now I think
|
| |
That key change near the end of Dark Side is just absolutely sublime

Turtleneck rules and is an effective jolt out of the 'sleepiness' of the record. Anyone who thinks it's embarrassing should look more closely at the lyrics and think about why they're paired to this sound.

I'm starting it now and I can already hear more sounds than before, just in the first song.
