Meshugga are awesome. My introduction was pretty badass though, I saw them when they opened for Tool on the Lateralus tour in Memphis. And the venue was general admission so we were nearly at the very front.
I wil say listening to the albums, a lot of them sounded kinda samey (but awesome) — obzen being the exception, loved 1st listen — but after a few listens, didn’t sound samey anymore.@

Panopticon > Oceanic.
But Oceanic is a fucking masterpiece as well. I love all their albums but Panop and Oceanic are definitely their two best.

Oceanic is chunkier at times but also has those female vocals that add texture. I give it the edge for having a wider sonic palette.

It's definitely more versatile. This is a perfect almost singular vibe tho. Idk, this is my 5 but the answer is both (been listening to more Oceanic the past year or so because it's easier to fit into a 'mood', so it certainly has that going for it)

Oceanic is their best imo, but then I can't even decide if I love this one more than Celestial. Panopticon is extremely consistent in tone and quite trippy I'd say, but Celestial has more edge and takes so many stylistic turns that I find it to be more exciting overall.
