Though I gotta say, I think the band might be as indifferent toward this record as I am, they hardly ever play songs off this live as far as I can tell.

They do very diverse setlists honestly, with songs from this and even When Forever Comes Crashing back in 2011. I wouldn't be surprised at these songs just slipping through the cracks more so than the band flat out ignoring them. And do like this record more than Dusk for sure. A Single Tear is a classic Converge tune though.

they're indifferent about it i think and its sad cause no heroes is prob better than every album that came after ut

Yeah I don’t think they dislike this album at all... they just really love performing the newer material. Their pre-Axe material only makes up like 30% of their shows anymore.

Yeah I was thinking that too, they def lean hard on newer material. Which I’m cool with, given how solid their entire discog is.
“ they're indifferent about it i think and its sad cause no heroes is prob better than every album that came after It”
Can’t say I agree with that at all, AWLWLB shreds, probably my favorite of theirs behind Jane Doe.

Yeah, Axe is as good and AWLWLB is a bit better imo. The only one after that's not as good is Dusk, for me.

yea but they play tons from yfm, a bunch from atf, and usually some staples from JD
would be nice to hear something from nh that isnt heartache
to the lions and bare my teeth, and maybe even versus slay p much everything on awlwlb

lol Versus is probably one of the worst tracks on here for me.
There’s no common consensus on this record.

Feel like most people generally agree grim heart/black rose is prob the best song here, but it’s also like 10 minutes long and why would they play that 10min song when they could play Jane Doe.

“yea but they play tons from yfm, a bunch from atf, and usually some staples from JD”
Only thing with yfm and jd is that (unless they pull out the t/ts) pretty much every song they typically perform from those albums is like 2:30 long at most. They could play like 7 songs from those albums and it’ll only come out to like 15-20 minutes.

I'm weird, I think my fav track here might be Bare My Teeth. It's just so fuckin' dark and angular.

Yeah, I remember one of the big criticisms from that 1.5 staff review was that Grim Heart was too long, and hate to say it but I agree. There’s some fat on that track that could’ve been cut.
Not a bad song, but it’s def not my favorite here.

Don't get me wrong, Grim Heart is one of my favs on here too. I do however think they repeat the parts for too many times though.
