Forgive my ignorance of the English language, but, isn't "great" spelled with 1 t?

Wish this band would quit with the suicide foreplay and just get it over with already...

Given my extreme dislike of MCR's early work, I fought tooth and nail to resist listening to this album. Then a voice in the back of my head told me that I was being just like all the other morons on the site giving it a 1 without ever having actually listened to any of it.

So I got a torrent and much to my amazement, it's actually pretty good. It's not great like Dookie, A Flame to the Ground Beneath, Painkiller, Holy Diver, London Calling, or any of my other favorite albums, but it's not the cancerous ear slaughter that the band's critics (loosely defined) are making it out to be.

Just wanted to put that out there. Sometimes you can be proven wrong. This Message Edited On 09.24.08

Trolling MCR seems pretty justified to me.

Not to you, it isn't. To me, this is a definitive rock opera.

And I'm hardly a fanboy.This Message Edited On 09.26.08

That's a pretty bold statement. List some other rock operas and see if we can put it in context.

i can't stand this album, except for teenagers i like a lot. Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge is still fairly nostalgic for me

This is a disgrace to rock music. They want to be a scene version of Queen (lol,'Scene Queens') so badly it hurts.Thank god it was my sister who bought this and not me.Yes I listen to my sister's CDs...she does have some good Cds though, like Hendrix and Depeche Mode

This album isn't as bad as people say, but it's not that great either---Just gets old after a while. I have a feeling everyone is just jumping on the bandwagon and saying "This is discrace to music, blahblahblah" to look like seasoned experts
