So you think your more of a metalhead that me cause I dont listen to one band that you think is the greatest?
I listen to a lot of bands that you don't. Face it, I know more about metal than you.
Highly doubt it, and we can go on about this forever, and I dont get MTV2 so that attempt of an insult went out the window.
That was a joke, fanboy.
What are you thinking when you try to prove your more metal when you have Nightwish as a metal band?
That I have better taste than you. Oh snap!
Thats right up there on my list of bands that arent even close to metal, along with Poison and Scorpions.
It's not my fault you're an idiot.
You can type all you want, try to insult me, call me a "little boy" (still cant figure out what thats about)
You're inability to comprehend the point of my jibes is also not my fault.
Your just an average kid who thinks metal is all this new **** coming out, but yet have you listened to more than 5 old metal bands?
Actually I'm 22, have studied the history of metal extensively, and am vrey exscited by the new stuff comign out of Europe, as well as some American bands such as Savatage (an all-time classic) and Iced Earth. I know more than 5 old bands, and just because they're old doesn't make them better.
Trivium are too bland and derivative to carry the torch. They're just rehashing ideas that have already been done, and that's not a path to the future, that's regressive.
(even though you'll probably try to prove otherwise)
I already did. If you weren't so ignorant you would know that.
I'm smarter, wittier, more articulate, and more knowledgeable than you. Get over it.
and I highly doubt any people who wrote comments on this page has.
Fanboy status confirmed.
This album is metal, 95% of the people commenting on this album arent. Youre apart of the 95%.
That would mean something if it came from someone other than you.
Anyway, as fascinating as this conversation is, I've thoroughly pwned you by this point, and I have to get to work. Have fun sitting all alone in your shame.

Better music? Doubt it. More articulate? I can maybe see that. Fanbody? Dont know what that means. More metal? Nope. Ill sit here in my shame though, if it makes you feel better, but I dont feel ashamed for listening to better music, and having a better taste of metal than you do. Have fun thinking of new stuff to write on all your blogs today at work, but as I've said before, ill say it again. You can insult me, cant pretend to know more than me, or say you listen to better music than me, when you really arent a metalhead.

Also, dont reply back, cause I highly doubt I look at it again. In the long run, I find your attempt to prove yourself better is annoying, pointless, and using made up little words to prove points gets nowhere. Maybe instead of trying to prove your better than everyone on forums, comments, and blogs, you could buy some music thats good, maybe pick up guitar yourself if you havent already, and do something thats productive. I'd rather have you try to prove your better as a guitarist than try to prove you can make better comments. Im a metalhead, you just need to get used to it. ----Also, this is for everyone. Stop using terms like "fanboy" and shit like that, try using words that actually make sense.----This Message Edited On 11.10.06

I'm a metalhead, and this album is painfully dull and subpar. Don't try and put yourself up on a pedestal and spit out comments like "I'M MORE METAL THAN YOU" because you love Trivium, because Trivium sucks hard.
And yes, based off of your past few comments, I feel no shame in labeling you "Fanboy". You just demonstrated nearly every trait of one. From the "WELL THIS BAND IS MORE METAL THAN YOUR BANDS" to the "GO LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC", you have successfully deemed yourself "A Trivium Fanboy", which are almost as bad as the Atreyu ones...This Message Edited On 11.10.06

Great review, but I think you just pointed out the bad things about it. I liked Ascendancy quite a lot but the crusade is a big downfall for the band, also this Metallica thing is just stupid but the album has some good aspects though. I think the drumming for example is quite descent and corey's lead work is good.
But great review though

I'm not going to bother with a point-by-point against xMetalgodX for his last two posts. He says he doubts he'll read this again, but I have a feeling he will.
I'd just like to say this. You all know me. You know how much sadistic glee I take in taunting people like him into a towering rage. And today I'd say that I did pretty good.
All of this fanboy's babbling, all his clumsy attempts to insult me, all his impotent chest-beating... it all came down to him looking like a monkey trying to screw a football.
Thank you and good night.

Q: What happened to Matts Screaming?
|
| |
I recently sampled this on a short trip in my mate's car. To say it's a mimic of everything Metallica ever did (in the 80's atleast) would be committing a crime by understatement. The overly long instrumental was the only (barely) noticable display of musical technicality, and even that resulted in nothing but an overblown yawnfest.
I think I'll listen to Ride the Lightning now...

Q: What happened to Matts Screaming?
He had unimaginably bad technique and kept blowing his voice out. Rather than admit that he needed a professional voice coach or should hire a full-time lead vocalist, he pretended the music had evolved beyond screaming and just went to shamelessly ripping off James Hetfield.
Unfortunately for him, he's still very bad at enunciation and many of his lyrics remain difficult to understand.

got to love that master of puppets rendition

Nooo, come back xMetalgodx, we need your stupid useless comments. Give us a great laugh and a (possible) wrong point of view towards Trivium fans.

That was fun.

Really? I thought he corroded the autotune function too much...

I just read the Steerpike vs. xMetalgodx comments and it was hilarious! xMetalgodx got killed and is too much of an ignorant fanboy to even realize it.

Fanboys seldom are lucid enough to understand the verbal raping they regularly receive.

Ha, verbal raping. Nice.
I prefer this album to their earlier works. I'd rather have them do a mediocre job of ripping off Metallica, than just plain suck at doing their own thing.

Agreed. At least it's better than that garbage they used to play.
