The last “I never said what I meant to // nothing can make me forget you” with the instruments stripped back is so fucking peak and genuinely one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve heard in music in a minute.



just breathtaking shit man, like it’s been said a few times, but while the first four tracks are all great, this album is so back heavy. And tbh I think they’ve pretty much perfected the sludgier side of their sound. Songs like Predatory Glow and Reptilian are amazing but I think Amon Amok and Gilded Cage are just too damn good, Bad Faith is also mean as fuck.

Like the back half of Make Me Forget You is Converge at their very best imo, one of the most well rounded and finely crafted songs they ever wrote.

The revolver variant was the coolest looking imo but I’m sure it’s sold out at this point, but I don’t think I saw a single one I wouldn’t buy. They’ve always been good about putting out worthwhile vinyl. I have most of their albums on vinyl now, I even managed to cop the flexi of I Won’t Let You Go and Deeper the Wound AND a Jane Doe first press… that one’s worth a pretty penny now. I think I’m only missing Halo and the og Poacher Diaries, which both would cost an arm and a leg. I remember when Kurt was doing some spring cleaning he had a Poacher Diaries variant that was going for like $500 and someone immediately claimed it lol, I imagine they probably cost more on discogs or whatever.
