At least people are giving thrash a chance nowadays it seems. When i was growing up, id try to tell all the skramz hipsters that they’d appreciate thrash for its aggression and punk influences, and i’d just get laughed at. I mean futures would NOT be jamming megadave at all in 2016 lets be real

Beginning of 6th grade Metallica was probably the only thrash band I knew, I had this goofy friend who was talking to me about them, specifically Master of Puppets.
I said “haven’t heard that one yet.” He looked bewildered and I told him Load and Reload were all I had heard from them and he proceeded to call me a f@g and told me to listen to actual Metallica. Eternally grateful for that moment.
