Are people ready to admit this isn’t quite as good as they thought it was at first?

This is just super fun for me. Its nothing special but it fills that fun pop metalcore niche for me

It's fun, but she carries so hard with her voice. I really wish the instrumentals were trying to be anything other than painfully genre standard on most of the heavier songs. Part of the reason I gravitate towards a track like Halo is that it's actually doing something distinct.

Not really her thing though is it? I get that and I share that preference for most artists, but it seems like a semi-robotic tone that uses studio fuckery is kinda a staple of her sound. I think this finds a decent balance, some emotion gets through.

ye i guess that's her thing, all respect to it being an artistic choice it's not wrong, it's just a choice that kinda doesn't do much for me in most cases unless they go full blown vocoder with it ala Daft Punk

BMTH are constantly ahead of the curve, they have Porter Robinson influence in their new album. One of the few bands that are constantly forward thinking. No innovation here, but I keep finding myself driving around listening to this (and I Disagree, for that matter). Luckily, I am also listening to Ulcerate and Blood Incantation, so there is hope for me yet...

Yeah there's no innovation, but it's the prime example of how you don't always need to be original to be great. Sometimes you just need to execute the concept really, really well
