New single “Warrior” out tomorrow is great. Just listened to it via VPN. I’d say it’s the best song they’ve put out in a minute.

Great song! I loved both songs though.

I only listened once, but I don't see what the issue is with the first single. People comparing it to their "classic" works? Idk, I try not to do that in general, but I'm barely familiar with them. So it sounded like a straightforward metal song to me, inoffensive. I should get more familiar though, if for any reason because Judiciary are touring with them in December.

Warrior was decent until the lame breakdowns. I liked Suffer Divine better.

I think the breakdown sections work here and kind of aren’t really breakdowns imo. At least it’s not gratuitous. Lol

These guys never really used these dumb mid 2000s metalcore tropes back in the day and it feels surreal that they’d pick them up this late in their career.
Edit: I think it’s actually the production that’s mostly giving that vibe to me, this is produced more like an August burns red song than a classic DH song. Orbin doing some creative stuff but that’s definitely not helping the metalcore feel either

Warrior slaps hard. Officially excited for the new album now.

Great riffs, but I feel like the song pretty quickly gets bogged down by the chorus. Repeated song title callouts also irk me to an unreasonable extent.
Editing to say that on repeat listens I actually just hate this chorus. Shame, the verse sections are heat.
