this is pretty sweet for how quickly it was thrown together. of all the heavy music "supergroups" to drop 4 song EPs in the last decade this is honestly one of the best. unfortunately, when stacked against DEP or ETID, it pales in comparison. both bands have literally made some of the best heavy music of all time though so i guess that is inevitable.

i am interested in seeing what they do with their next one, i doubt this group will ever put out anything as impactful as Miss Machine or From Parts Unknown but i am still glad we got this record.

i found 30 under 13 pretty boring on release but it works better here as the heaviest song.

Yeah supergroups usually suck. This is good tho. Hope this is gonna be a thing for a while. Dope debut.

Lmao remember the Aqua Teen Hunger Force w/ the fuckin alien or whatever whoms obsessed with Chickenfoot.

Anyway yeah this was pretty good not amazing. Greg is the standout but it's kind of hard to not be overshadowed by Greg if you're not playing TDEP level shit. My fav instrumental moments were the ones that sounded the most like ETID and I feel like that probably shouldn't be the case. Last 2 songs better than 1st 2 songs, 1st song was definitely the weakest and I probably wouldn't care if I ever heard it again but solid enough bangers otherwise.

neither did I, nor do I think Greg's vocals actually fit the ETID style aesthetic much.

^^^agreed and i think that's why 13 under 30 is easily my favorite here... easily the track with the most dillinger to it

Yeah the Greg hate is wild, he's so fucking versatile. The lyrics aren't Buckley or Mastodon level but they still suit the music perfectly.

ETID was probably my favorite band, and so I already knew I was going to dig this instrumentally. Greg isn't Keith in terms of lyrics, but this whole thing just hits all the right spots for me...granted, I'm biased.
