i'd go a step further

deftones is probably as big as they've ever been right now... in large part because they appeal a ton to non-metal fans, especially hs/college age people finding them through tik tok.

these guys do the same sound just as good (i'd argue even better) while being a new band with female vocals. i think the next album will get the "glow on" treatment so long as its like 70% as good as this, and could way supersede that if something catches traction on tik tok

still rules

All my previous comments at the start of this thread got lost in the sputpocalypse but for the record this group of musicians are among my favorite ever, and I'm happy they are achieving so much success (with this project especially.) 313k monthly listeners on Spotify is so cool for a Vein side project.

Twenty/thirtysomethings rehashing their adolescence via distorted drop-tuned guitars is beautiful and we all need to respect it

This isn't a Deftones ripoff at all. Idk why people keep making that comparison honestly. They're vaguely similar.

Lol I hardly heard Deftones in this at all? This isn’t groundbreaking music by any means, but to say they “ripped off” Deftones is silly.

Listened to this again, this might be a 5 for honestly.

Also, this has a completely different vibe from Deftones, it should more disturbing than sexy

Saw these guys yesterday. While they were good, they only played 15 minutes for a 30 minute set lmao
