Tanny had an off-year, but people forget that:



1. We were riddled by injuries and our WR corps was unreliable. AJ Brown missed several games, Julio Jones was perpetually unavailable and invisible when healthy, Henry was out, we had to lean on our WR4 and 5... how can Tanny have chemistry with that revolving door of a cast?

2. Our offensive playcalling was incredibly vanilla. I don't know if this will be improved on, but I hope we get a lot more creative, especially in the passing game. Woods and McMath (if the camp stories are true) can help stretch the field, which we definitely need in this modern league.

3. Due to all of the above, the offense had little to no chemistry. Tannehill couldn't rely on anyone and he tried to play hero ball/force passes to compensate.



EDIT: Bonus 4th reason: we had no good TE. Hopefully Austin Hooper fills that role. It was a great acquisition honestly and nobody is talking about it.



I'm not saying he's a flawless QB and maaan have I complained about him a lot, but he's also the best we've had under center in a long while. 2019 and 2020 proved what he could do with consistent receivers and smart playcalling. Early signs from camp are encouraging, especially with regards to the aforementioned Racey McMath (top tier name if nothing else) and Kyle Philips.

All very valid points. I don’t disagree, the Titans have a ton of potential. It’s similar to the Rams, whose key RB was out the whole season (which I still don’t totally get how he’s walking right now, but I’m not complaining), resulting in Stafford having a very below average run game with a lot more deep ball attempts from him.



I think Titans will do well this year. AFC gonna be liiiiiiiit.
