theres only one word in this whole review thats really pushing it, and thats sybarite
epicurean is also pushing it if you want to be a lameass nerd who finds epicureanism's modern identification with hedonism inaccurate (when he advocates for pleasure he specifically means moderation and the avoidance of pain which is not what hedonistic pleasure means to most people)
but seeming as epicureanism has the usage of basically just meaning hedonism theres not much to complain about because outside of technical academic usage you are colloquially using the word accurately

@Mort For this one I tried smth I never did before, basically listing words. I know some people here do it so I thought "why nat", and gave it a shot. It did make writing easier but then I got strangely obsessed with using every word I had listed too lol

"yall gotta check out the first boston album"
Fuckyeah brother, Boston forever. R.I.P. Brad
Also, I can't believe I still haven't checked this out yet. I guess I've just been distracted with all the other great albums... this year has been crazy, lol

Commendable, sir.

I have a love hate relationship with this band
I love half of their music and hate the other half because it feels like wasted potential and needless instrumental wankery in a way that I don't feel contributes to their theme of sophistication and opulence quite the way they think it does
If everything was on par with Merkurius Gilded - a track which captures the demented jazz age sound yet keeps a discernible structure and memorable passages - it would be some of the best music ever.
I've still got two of their shirts and one of their vinyls though, and I can't deny their originality

only thing more useless than the “riffs” are the camera angles. dude’s literally just goofing around, probably having a laugh “they think this is genius”...

You know Licht, you sure do put a lot of time and effort into researching stuff from a band you actually hate. Are you sure that's a wise use of your time?

Great riffs agreed.

Ooo just found a little Easter egg, if you could call it that. At 6:45 on Tower of Glory, City of Shame you can hear a guy saying “up in the tower we just saw a huge explosion and now it’s raining debris on all of us…we better get out of the way!” That’s from a clip I’ve seen many times where one of the twin towers started to collapse on 9/11 while a reporter was standing at the base of it. It’s insane. Search NJ Burkett Twin Towers on YouTube
