Really not understanding the production complaints. This sounds way more massive than the last two.

I've said the production rules on this since February lol. Theres complaints about every album regarding production. Every album that comes out in music theres always going to be that group. There was also complaints regarding the last album violent sleep. This album just like any other is no exception.

Except Chaosphere that seems to suffer from volume oversaturation at times, I think Meshuggah has done a pretty good job in that area in most of their albums, in my opinion. Especially if u compare it to other producers (aka: Rick Rubin)

DEI sounds the best out of all their stuff. Wish more records sounded that good.

Daniel Bergstrand was one of the best metal producers of the 90s. He knew how to make a record hit like a sledgehammer.

I still don't dig the kick drum sound. But it doesn't bother me too much. Album slaps regardless. Definitely digging the more melodic direction on this one

Top fucking tier Meshuggah, already feels more impactful for me than Violent Sleep or Koloss. Might be their best since Nothing (a title that's probably given to every new album since Nothing, lol).

yeah the drum sound is noticably weaker here which is weird cuz violent sleep sounds so good. but i guess the live recording on that one might help

Meshuggah is the only band I can think of that gets away with 2 minute open chugs and 4 note songs and still gets a 4-4.5 from Sputnik.
