Great gig yesterday. Songs from tis album were nice (especially Spitafields, a pleasant surprise!) but the highlights were obviously from the previous ones; Rats, Cirice, Con Clavi, of course the encore with Dance Macabre / Square Hammer and Miasma with the sax solo.

The ghoul on lead guitar was excellent, soli were on point.

The lead guitar is Per Eriksson, he used to play in Katatonia and Bloodbath, and yeah, he's really good.

It's the production that kills it more than anything for me, far too polished on the last four releases (two LPs and two EPs).



Sometime during the recording of the HE IS EP I feel like the sound took a dramatic turn towards saccharin sweet, and I just don't care for it.

I dig this a lot more than I thought I would.
