Double Helix is an immediate top tier for me. It just grabbed me right off the bat I won't be surprised if it ends up a classic for the band.

After finally really being able to absorb this, my final take is: its a great record that Tommy shit the bed on that relies too much on fresh takes of old material for impact

Thought the callbacks here were really well done in a kind of meta way. Like they know its retreading old ground but they put a twist on it pretty brilliantly

I think it's a really interesting practice. Like after you've been around so long the majority of people going to your shows only want to hear the old stuff anyways (maybe not so much for BTBAM but def for a lot of 20+ year old bands)... so why not make your old stuff the new stuff?

I dont hate Prehistory, kind of a jam tbh
