I agree this sounds a dynamic album, rhythm section is great.

Biggest weakness so far is no song itself has grabbed me by the throat - just not the most songful approach ever but that’s ok, that’s what makes this Deafheaven and their tunes are supposed to take a while and ramble a bit

yeah it was interesting over the last few months the community was debating, whether Lantlos or Deafheaven would come out with a better shoegaze record

personally that goes to DH hands down

“ Biggest weakness so far (…)”

I agree, there is not one ultimate highlight for me but it works perfect as a whole. Not seeing it as a weakness tho.

doof- im wondering if that is an issue of the vocals or the songwriting structure?

I still have In blur and Great Mass of Color for the highlights myself but I can see it as "no ultimate hightlight" album but a solid one in general.

BUT DUUUDE I LOVE THE DRUMS! That's the higher highlight here for me.

I like Kodama a little more but it's a really good one for sure. Don't say that around these parts tho people gonna kill you because you didn't say Ecailles! =P

In Blur is incredible man, it makes my life better by only existing.

This one left me surprised because it was so hard to figure out when one song ended and the next started. Seems the Between the Buried and Me album just went the same way. Some weeks and releases are just so forgettable. If it weren't for the last track, I guess it would have no resemblance at all. Still not that bad as this sounds.

At least you didnt' put a 1 in there , I can accept people finding this average but I don't like the 1's in general, it seems like a stupid score for me, sorry guys ;D
