Yeah I think is one of the best pop records of the last decade, but top 10 of all time? hmmmm nope

thought that was a comment for this album, and am now sorely disappointed. agreed though

Melodrama is great, yuh

I feel like John L is my favorite here, so having it be the first track is sort of unfortunate.
Like Schlagenheim, this feels inconsistent, but overall I think this is more solid.

Hogwash and balderdash + slow are my faves. John L is great tho.

Weird ratings for this. The big chords and sax and overall songwriting is so good. A lot better than most of the post punk/noise rock shit getting repped this year

Squid is better yea
|
| |
squid is the best, this is mid, black country is garbage
dry cleaning is there somewhere
all are bad
these conversations are pagely, the discourse never ends!!!
|
| |
but also if you love this that is cool many agree
|
| |
Yesterday I gave this and Squid a listen and it just dawned on me how similarly pretentious they are

I kind of understand why you hate this as many things you lot are saying is how I feel about squid and to a less extent, BCNR. That squid album I really can't tolerate it except for a few songs but with black midi is the opposite, they just click with me and I really enjoy them.
